Prattville, Alabama (September 24, 2026) — Racing returns to the Heart of Dixie this weekend, albeit with a twist. In addition to the commonplace short track action, a presitigous road racing event at Barber Motorsports Park highlights the weekend lineup.

Barber Motorsports Park (Leeds, Al)
GT World Alabama: September 25-27
It’s time for one of the biggest events of 2026 at Alabama’s premier road course facility, Barber Motorsports Park. The UAB GT World Alabama Benefiting Teal Wings of Hope is slated to span the entire weekend from Friday to Sunday, featuring some of North America’s most high-profile road racing series. Series competing in the weekend’s action include GT World Challenge America, GT America, Toyota GR Cup North America, Pirelli GT4 America, and TC America.

Cottonwood Speedway (Cottonwood, Al)
9/11 Tribute Race (Makeup Date): Saturday, September 26
After an unfortunate visit from Mother Nature a couple weeks ago, Cottonwood Speedway will return to form with another attempt at running their 9/11 Tribute Race. The night will feature 602 Late Models, Non-Wing Sprint Cars, Factory Stocks, Vintage Cars, Crown Vics, FWD Stocks, and FWD Beginners.
Deep South Speedway (Loxley, Al)
Weekly Racing: Saturday, September 26
After last week’s action, Deep South Speedway is right back at it for another round of weekly racing on Saturday. Four racing divisions are slated to hit the track, those being 604 Late Models, Open-Wheel Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and Pure Stocks.
North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Al)
Weekly Racing: Friday, September 25
The racers of North Alabama Speedway will find themselves competing underneath Friday Night Lights this week, with a lineup of five weekly racing divisions participating in the action. 602 Late Models, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Buzz cars will all compete.
Outlaw Speedway (Jasper, Al)
Weekly Racing: Saturday, September 26
Outlaw Speedway’s final race for the month of September will take place this Saturday. Divisions competing include Street Stocks, Mini Mods, Super Buzz, Crown Stocks, Hot Shots, Road Runners, Young Guns, and Mini Cups.
SSR Motorsports Park (Grand Bay, Al)
Weekly Racing: Saturday, September 26
Racing returns to Grand Bay’s SSR Motorsports Park this Saturday. The highlight of the day’s schedule is a $1,000-to-win INEX Legend Car 40-lapper, but that’s not all. Mighty Mites, Jr. Champ Karts, Sr. Champ Karts, and Sr. Pro Champ Karts will also compete.
Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Al)
SCDRA Toys for Tykes Race: Saturday, September 25-26
‘The Hornet’s Nest,’ also known as Talladega Short Track, will roar back to life this weekend with a special event headlined by the SCDRA Sport Compacts. SCDRA Qualifiying is set to take place on Friday, but feature action will take place on Saturday. Aside from the Sport Compacts, divisions such as CRUSA 604 Late Models, CRUSA 602 Late Models, CRUSA Modifieds, TST Sportsmen, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks will all compete.
Tri-County Speedway (Flomaton, Al)
Weekly Racing: Saturday, September 26
The points-paying season at Flomaton’s Tri-County Speedway will conclude on Saturday night. 602 Late Models, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Bombers will all hit the track and look for end-of-season glory.
Xtreme Speedway (Danville, Al)
Weekly Racing: Saturday September 26
Much like the previously mentioned Tri-County Speedway, Xtreme Speedway will see its points-paying season conclude when it’s all said and done on Saturday night. Six weekly classes will be running: CRUSA 602 Late Models, Xtreme 365 Late Models, CRUSA Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and FWD.
