Huntsville’s First Championship Night of 2026 Highlights Saturday’s Alabama Racing Lineup

Prattville, Alabama (September 11, 2026) — Another race weekend is here in the Heart of Dixie. This week’s racing lineup will consist of nine special events across a variety of facilities throughout the state of Alabama.

Huntsville Speedway (Huntsville, Al)

Championship Night Part 1: Saturday, September 12

The 2026 season at Huntsville Speedway is almost at a close. The first Championship Night of the season at the historic North Alabama facility will see the points-paying campaign conclude for some of the speedway’s divisions, with the second Championship Night on September 19th deciding the fate of the divisions who race that night. Pro Late Models headline the lineup for this upcoming race, with Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, TN Pure Stocks, Buzz, Hot Shots, Legend Cars, and Bandoleros also competing.

Cottonwood Speedway (Cottonwood, Al)

9/11 Tribute Race: Saturday, September 12

Cottonwood Speedway will race with a spirit of remembrance on Saturday night with the running of the 9/11 Tribute Race. 602 Late Models, Non-Wing Sprints, Vintage Cars, Crown Vics, FWD Stocks, and FWD Beginners will race. A special $1,000-to-win demolition derby will also take place.

New Hollis Speedway (Heflin, Al)

Second Annual Founders Day Memorial: Saturday, September 12

A newfound tradition returns to New Hollis Speedway this weekend in the form of the Second Annual Founders Day Memorial. The highlights of the night include a $2,000-to-win Limited Late Model race as well as a $800-to-win Bomber feature. The track’s other weekly divisions are set to return to action as well: Mod Mini, Open-Wheel, Hobby, 602 Late Models, Hot Shots, Stock 4-Cylinder, and Crown Vics.

Outlaw Speedway (Jasper, Al)

Weekly Racing: Saturday, September 12

Another weekend of thrilling local racing will take place at Outlaw Speedway on Saturday. The night will feature action from the Street Stocks, Mini Mods, Super Buzz, Crown Stocks, Hot Shots, Road Runners, Young Guns, and Mini Cups.

South Alabama Speedway (Kinston, Al)

Frontstretch Prayer Night: Saturday, September 12

After a brief summer break, racing is back at South Alabama Speedway this weekend. The Frontstretch Prayer Night event is slated to feature Modifieds, Super Stocks, Road Runners, Crown Vics, Coyotes, Mini Cups, and Mini Sportsmen.

SSR Motorsports Park (Grand Bay, Al)

Fan Appreciation Night: Saturday, September 12

Saturday night is shaping up to be one of SSR Motorsports Park’s biggest events of the year. The evening will feature double features for the Mighty Mites, Jr. Champs, Bandoleros, Sr. Champs, Sr. Pro Champs, and Legend Cars. The night will be capped by a special $1,000-to-win Crown Stock 50-lapper.

Tri-County Speedway (Flomaton, Al)

Weekly Racing: Saturday, September 12

Racing returns to Flomaton’s Tri-County Speedway on Saturday, with five divisions taking part in the festivities. Bombers, Pure Stocks, Factory Stocks, Modifieds, and 602 Late Models will all hold feature events.

West Alabama Speedway (Winfield, Al)

Rex & Anita Hulsey Memorial: Saturday, September 12

Saturday will be a big night for the West Alabama Speedway family with the running of the Rex & Anita Hulsey Memorial. The big event of the night will be a $2,000-to-win Factory Stock race. Vintage Late Models, Open-Wheel Modifieds, Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Hot Shots will all race as well.

Xtreme Speedway (Danville, Al)

Clash on the Clay/Mini Stock Madness: Saturday, September 12

Two big races highlight the lineup for Xtreme Speedway on Saturday night. The $3,000-to-win Modified Clash on the Clay and the $1,000-to-win Mini Stock Madness event stand out as the two biggest features of the evening. 602 Late Models, 365 Late Models, Factory Stocks, and FWD cars will also race.
